SUMMER WORK CAMP

First days of autumm. After these summer months, I'm willing to update the blog. This summer I participated as a volunteer in a "Enviromental Work Camp for restoring ecological path of the Tagus river" which took place in Toledo from 1 to 15th of July, 2014.

It was the first time I attend in such a proyect. A work camp is a good opportunity to employ your free time in voluntary service work that aims to strenghen the intercultural learning, the personal development (do turism, travel, visit new places, meet and interact with people from other places, countries, have fun, play sports...) while performing your volunteer work

We stayed in a youth hostel located in a magnificient castle, an enviable spot. The San Servando Castle, which is accessed by a slope that seemed endless, after passing the Alcanta bridge. The best youth hostel in Castilla-La Mancha was our home during those 15 hot summer days. However, we had the Toledo best sights swimming pool to take a dip after a long working day in the path.

MAKING OF PHOTO SHOOT

I want to share with you my first video montage as a amateur. It's about a making of a photo shoot in a local hairdresser (Ana Martín). The outcome is not as professional as I wish (there's no music), but I keep on learning and improving. Thanks!

PHOTO SHOOT HOTEL

I am a amateur photographer and I took part of a photo shoot in a fashion fair where I could take some pictures and elaborate a making of about the make up, hairstyling and fashion show.

Soy un aficcionado de la fotografía, y pude participar en una sesión de fotos en una feria de moda para eventos donde pude hacer algunas fotos y realizar un making of del maquillaje, peluquería y desfile.

MANÁ NGO VOLUNTARISM

I have just joined to a NGO (www.ongmana.org) which funds and supports cooperation projects in developing and underdeveloped countries. Also, the organization's main objective is raising awareness of the problems of Third World countries. Here you can see about my colaboration in one of the activities related to children's entertainment

Acabo de unirme a una ONG que financia y apoya proyectos de cooperación en países en vías de desarrollo y subdesarrollados. Además, tiene también como objetivo fundamental concienciar de los problemas que padecen los países del Tercer Mundo. Aquí puedes ver mi colaboración en una de las actividades de animación infantil.

GEORGIA PANTOMINE PROJECT

From 04/04/2014 to 12/04/2014 I participated in a project funded by the EU "Youth in Action" Programme called "PANTOMIME ART AS A TOOL FOR INTERCULTURAL LEARNING"

The project took place for 7 days in Kobuleti, Georgia.


THE TOPIC
We discussed and exchanged point of views about the prejudices and stereoypes towards each other's cultures. We found out about the history of pantomime art.

THE MOST IMPRESSIVE
It was a great experience because was the first time that I could live and speak with people from other cultures.

WHAT I LEARNT
I learnt to understand better the culture differences among everbody throuh individual and group learning sessions However, although we are different from each other and we belong to different cultures, finally, we are the same deeply, we are not as different as we think!

Also, I learnt to improve my body language and my expressions by doing pantomime improvisation exercises.
